See the world with me and get lost in dreams
There are places I am yet to see for myself in India, having spent long time travelling Karnataka which is one of my favourite places in South India. I want to show you some areas where you can pack your bags and get away from normal life in the weekend and explore nature within along with the beautiful nature around, one such weekend which I recently had was, when I had to get out of this city life and wanted some peaceful time for exploring myself. And then while surfing on internet I got to see few amazing places..and decided to go to Uttara Kannada.Jog falls, is one such beautiful place which is located in the borders of Shimoga and Uttara Kannada districts of Karnataka, which is highest waterfall in the state with amazing view around falling from the hearts of western ghats. This is one of the biggest waterfall on Sharavati river. You can also get into bottom of waterfalls by walking through the valley, which takes you around 3 hours to & fro.

Never forget to catch hold of someone who can click best pics of you when you go alone.
I get to see this marvellous view of falls and then everything I saw was miracle.
Sometime you need to go through the fog in order to find your right path, it was just like walking through the heavens.
Murdeshwar |
Murdeshwar is also one such place, which will drive you crazy. This is my all time favourite destinations. It is in the town of Bhatkal district, which has the second tallest statue of shiva. The temple lies in the coast of Arabian sea, surrounded by western ghats and forests which adds more beauty for the background of temple. It's has a 20 storied raja gopura which will just leave you mesmerised. If you visit Mudeshwar in normal time, you can also visit Netrani Island, where you have scuba diving and other adventurous activities.
.
And here I get to see the statue of Shiva and this is the 20 storey alluring Raja gopura for which I travelled all the way from capital city.

Find some time, go speak to people around and get involved with them. I am sure you will have some great time. This was a picture of me playing around with those kids near the beach in murdeshwar. Smile is a contagious disease, spread it as much as you can.
It was a short journey of 1000kms, with 1000rs in one day and two nights, which gave me some unbelievable experiences of meeting new people and visiting these places again and collecting bucket full of memories.
I always urge people to travel alone and see the world, so that you get to see the actual world -
You'll get to see lot of kids, who just smile without reason, and that innocence face gets smile on everybody, no matter what ever situation you are in.
By looking at the people travelling from one place to another just for studying, will teach you the value of education and dedication.
Like how many people are suffering with hunger and pain without any help from long time. And then you get to discover your problem is noting infront of them.
To reach the village there are various routes with tourist buses leaving regularly from Bangalore Station. But I would always prefer going by train which has very comfortable timing after my office hours, departure at 23.00hrs from Majestic station and will reach destination talgoppa by 07.00hrs and it will take around 20 minutes from there to reach Jog falls.
In conclusion : "Travelling alone" is boring & lonely- said those who never travel alone. When it's weekend and you have some money in your pocket, visit these places and you'll never regret it.
